Is there a minimum number of participants for the guided tours?
No, the tours take place starting from the first booked person. To ensure an exclusive experience, the maximum group size is limited to 8 people.

Yes, in case of safety-related adjustments, we contact all affected participants immediately via the email address provided during booking.
Equipment & Preparation
What clothing is required for the guided nature tours in Lofoten?
Dressing in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer shell is mandatory. The weather in Lofoten changes rapidly, which is why warm layers should also be carried in summer.
What footwear is necessary for the Lofoten tours?
Waterproof hiking boots are required for all guided tours. The terrain off the paved paths is often wet, mossy, and uneven.
Do I need to bring my own food for the guided tours?
Bringing your own water bottle is required for all tours. On specific excursions, a small local snack will be provided by the guide.
Are the Lofoten tours suitable for people without extensive hiking experience?
Basic sure-footedness is required for moving through the uneven tundra. The specific physical requirements are noted on the detailed tour pages.
Do I need to bring tour-specific equipment for the activities myself?
No, all special equipment required to carry out the respective tour is provided by us free of charge.
How strenuous are the tours and do I need to be extremely fit?
That depends entirely on the chosen tour. We offer everything from flat tundra walks to extreme summit ascents. Because hiking in Lofoten is often more strenuous than in the Alps (due to the terrain), we have divided our tours into 6 levels.
Here you can find a detailed explanation of our difficulty scale.
Arrival & On-Site
Where is the exact meeting point for the booked tour?
The exact starting point depends on the chosen tour and the mode of arrival (own transport or pickup service) and is communicated via a direct link to the coordinates in the booking confirmation.
Does Lofoten Lux Tours offer a transport or pickup service?
Yes, for an additional fee, a pickup service from the center of Leknes can be added during the booking process.
Are toilets available at the starting point or during the guided tours?

Are dogs allowed to participate in the guided nature tours?
Yes, dogs are allowed. However, during the summer months, there is a strict leash requirement in Lofoten to protect the local fauna.

By default, tours are conducted in German and English. Tours in French or Spanish can be requested in advance via the contact form.
